I like to think that my career began when I was still a student in 1992, with the Winter Olympics in Albertville (French Alps) where I was an interpreter.
After graduating, I was hired as a Sales Assistant and Internet Coordinator at the Val d’Isère Tourist Board…in the French Alps again. For the mountain-lover that I was, this international ski resort was the perfect opportunity.
The next five years gave me the chance to travel around Europe for my job, to learn about tourism marketing, and to take part in the “Internet revolution” by creating the very first website for the resort in 1996.
In 1998, I headed south to Sophia Antipolis, the Côte d’Azur’s technology park, to surf the high-tech wave at a research firm affiliated to the European Commission where I was hired as an EU Project Coordinator.
In 2000, I assisted the CEO of Right Vision, an IT start-up specialised in security appliances. These last two positions certainly triggered my interest in technologies!
After 10 years working as an employee, I chose to become a freelance translator in 2002 and have been running my translation business ever since.
Through the years, I have developed long term working relationships with direct clients and boutique translation agencies across Europe.
I have also built a network of colleagues and experts who work in complementary industries and language combinations.
I regularly further my training in the technical, writing, marketing and business fields, and fine-tune my skills in various tools used in the translation industry.
All this allows me to offer you services in line with your evolving needs!
